FAQs

Q Does the poker room have a Bad Beat Jackpot?

Yes.

QUALIFYING RULES

To win either Bad Beat Jackpot, the following qualifications MUST be met:

  • The Bad Beat Jackpot applies to all cash games of Limit and No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em.

  • A minimum of four (4) active players must be dealt in the hand. There cannot be any deck irregularities.

  • The pot must be at least $20.00 (including rake and Bad Beat contribution).

  • Players cannot discuss the potential of a Bad Beat during the hand.

  • Both the winning and losing hands must be the best possible combination of five (5) cards, and BOTH hole cards must play.

  • Wide Area Bad Beat Jackpot:

    • The losing hand must be the qualifying hand of the week or stronger.

    • When the Wide Area Bad Beat Jackpot is won, the minimum qualifying hand resets to quad Aces (AAAAx).

    • Every four (4) weeks, the qualifying hand strength decreases by one (1) rank until it reaches quad eights (8888x).

    • Once it reaches quad eights, it remains there until the jackpot is hit again.

  • Local Bad Beat (excluding Great Blue Heron Casino):

    • The losing hand must be Four-of-a-Kind twos (2s) or better, beaten by Four-of-a-Kind threes (3s) or better.

    • Players must use both hole cards and must hold a pair for any Four-of-a-Kind.

  • If qualified for the Wide Area Bad Beat Jackpot, players are awarded both the Local and Wide Area Bad Beat Jackpots where available.

  • Players must be physically sitting at the table and dealt into the hand when the “Bad Beat” hand is won.

  • Note: A player who has folded and left the table is still eligible for their portion of the jackpot.

  • A player who mucks their hand face down will have their hand considered dead. If mucked face up, it remains live for Bad Beat qualification.

  • Electronic devices are strictly prohibited during a hand and will result in disqualification for the Bad Beat Jackpot.

  • Amounts for both the Wide Area and Local Jackpots are updated daily at 4 PM.

  • The minimum reseed amount after a winning Bad Beat is $100.00.

  • A $1 maximum contribution will be removed from the pot when it reaches $20, including the rake.

  • For the jackpot to be awarded, the hand must go to a showdown.

BAD BEAT CONTRIBUTION RULES

  • If the main pot has less than $20, the Bad Beat $1 is not taken, and the pot does not qualify.

  • If the main pot has less than $20, but the side pot has $20 or more, the Bad Beat $1 is taken from the side pot.

  • If both the main and side pots are less than $20, no contribution is taken, and players do not qualify.

  • If a single player wins both pots, and they total $20 or more, the Bad Beat $1 is taken, and the side pot players qualify.

JACKPOT DISTRIBUTION

  • The player with the Bad Beat (2nd best hand) receives 50% of the jackpot.

  • The player with the winning hand receives 25% of the jackpot.

  • The remaining 25% is divided equally among the other active players in the hand.

  • Limit: One (1) jackpot hand per player.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Do not discuss hands while there is still action pending. It will void the Bad Beat Jackpot.

  • If two hands qualify for the Bad Beat, the higher-ranked hand is declared the Bad Beat Hand.

  • If two or more tables qualify at the same time, the jackpot is split equally.

  • If two sites report a Multi-Destination Bad Beat at the same time, surveillance timestamps will determine which site wins the Main and which wins the Reserve.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

  • All qualifying players must provide valid government-issued photo ID to receive a payout.

  • Anyone deemed ineligible under AGCO Standard 3.2(2) will not receive payment.

  • Under all circumstances, management’s decision is final.

Q What are the poker room house rules?

English Only Policy

English must be spoken at the table while a game is in progress.

Cell Phone Usage

  • When a player has cards, they MUST NOT use their phone.

  • Players may not talk on the phone at the table at any time.

  • Cell phones must be inaudible to others and not cause a disturbance.

  • Players are prohibited from recording/capturing video, photography, or audio.

Smart Watches & Headphones

Seating & Table Changes

  • Players who have missed two (2) big blinds will forfeit their seats if there is a waiting list.

  • Players MUST table change with their full stack.

  • Table changes must be made immediately – after table changing, players are considered existing players.

  • Verbal statements out of turn will receive a warning. See Floor Supervisor for details.

Final Decisions & Rule Enforcement

  • The decision of the Poker Pit Manager/Supervisor is final.

  • The rules of play are designed to create a fair game and to ensure that a player who makes an error suffers the consequences.
