Great for Quick Action, But Could Use More Atmosphere
4.0

This room is fantastic for getting a table started quickly—there’s rarely a long wait, which is a huge plus. The staff is generally helpful, though some consistency in rulings from the pit bosses would make the experience even smoother. One area that could really enhance the overall vibe is the atmosphere. The space feels a bit plain, and a simple upgrade—like adding some poker-related posters or décor—could bring more energy and character to the room. With a few small touches, this could easily become one of the top poker spots around!

FAQs

Q What cash games does your poker room have?

Cash games offered over 12 tables

Offering no-limit Texas Hold’em: 2-5, 5-10 and 10-20 and High Hand Progressive.

Omaha Hi: 1-2, 5-5 and High Hand Progressive.

Q Poker Room Etiquette

  • Play at a Reasonable Rate of Speed. If you are in a hand, don’t make everyone remind you that it’s your turn—keep up with the action so the game keeps moving. When deliberating a hand, take a necessary but reasonable amount of time.

  • Be Polite & Courteous. Sportsmanship and common courtesy create a much more enjoyable experience for both players and staff. Taking extra time to reveal a winning hand or “Slow Rolling” to taunt other players is the epitome of poor sportsmanship.

  • Act in Turn. Folding, calling, or leaving your seat before it is your turn should be avoided, as it reveals important information to players still in the hand.

  • Showing Your Cards. Revealing your cards prematurely or showing them to others can potentially affect the outcome of a hand, just like playing out of turn.

  • Discarding Your Hand. When folding, release your cards in a low and controlled motion—never at the dealer’s hand or board cards.

  • Do Not Discuss a Hand Still in Play. Refrain from talking about your cards, especially if you’ve already folded. Sharing information may affect the outcome of the hand.

  • Do Not Criticize Others. Criticizing another player’s style of play is impolite and unacceptable. Every player is entitled to play within house rules without being subject to criticism. Demeaning talk or behavior—including throwing cards, name-calling, or other abusive actions—will not be tolerated.

  • Do Not Angle or Collude. Deliberate actions or statements meant to unfairly influence the course of play, whether they affect a hand or not, are unacceptable. There should be no agreements to check a hand to the showdown when a third player is all in.

Q Bad Beat Jackpot Rules

  • No verbal communication about a possible Bad Beat Jackpot. No player, whether involved in the hand or not, may verbally inform another player that a Bad Beat Jackpot situation is possible. Such communication may void the jackpot.

  • Mucked hands do not qualify. A hand that has been mucked when facing action does not qualify for the Bad Beat Jackpot.

  • Jackpot drop contribution. In all jackpot games, when the pot reaches fifteen (15) dollars, one (1) dollar is taken and placed into the jackpot drop box.

  • Eligibility for jackpot winnings. Guests are eligible to win jackpot progressive money and/or promotional prizes only while playing in jackpot games.

  • Daily updates. Grand Villa Casino will post updates to the Bad Beat Jackpot before 5:00 PM daily.

  • Texas Hold’em Bad Beat Jackpot eligibility:

    • There must be at least five (5) active players dealt into the hand; players away from the table are not considered active players.

    • If more than two (2) hands qualify for the 50% or 25% share(s) of any jackpot, only the two (2) highest-ranking qualifying hands will be considered. All remaining hands will receive a table share only.

    • Jackpots are paid when quad 8’s are beaten by a higher four-of-a-kind or a stronger hand, and both hands meet the qualifying criteria.

    • A qualifying hand must be the player's best possible five (5) card hand, with both hole cards being used. If the qualifying hand is four-of-a-kind, two (2) of the four cards must come from the player’s private two-card hand. Kickers in the hole cards will not be considered part of the qualifying hand.

  • Management’s discretion. Grand Villa Casino Management reserves the right to declare a jackpot hand null and void during the round of play if the rules of the game do not align with the approved rules of play.

Q Grand Villa Poker Room Rules

  • Floor people are to consider the best interest of the game and fairness as the top priority in the decision-making process. The floor person’s decision is final.

  • No outside food or drink permitted in the room.

  • English only at the table while a hand is in play.

  • Cell phones are not permitted to be in use while a hand is in play.

  • Loud, abusive language and profanity will not be tolerated.

  • All games are table stakes. No short-buys are permitted.

  • The line on the table is a courtesy line for all players to place their bets. A forward motion of chips may be considered a bet, call, or raise as interpreted by the dealer.

  • Check and raise is permitted in all games.

  • Seat or game change is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Players moving more than two active seats away from the blinds or to another table of the same game must post.

  • One dinner break of 40 minutes is permitted per patron, with only one player on dinner per table at a time.

  • Any player missing 3 sets of blinds will be cashed out.

  • Third man out rule is in effect.

  • One player per hand, collusion or angling will not be tolerated.

  • Each player is responsible for their own hand at all times. If a dealer kills an unprotected hand, the player will have no redress and will not be entitled to their money back.

  • Players must keep their chips on the table, with highest denomination chips visible at all times.

  • There will be no foreign chips on the table except for a maximum of one card cap.

  • Cards speak. If you show one card to a player, you must show all cards upon request or at the discretion of the staff.
